Book Swapping

So…like many MFA students, I end up with a lot of books I need to get rid of, and I always forget to sell them back (mostly because I’m lazy and don’t want to take them to campus at the end of the semester). I’ve gained quite the collection of books that I would be very happy without.

First, I decided to put up a couple on GoodReads’s book swap, expecting nothing to come of it. Lo and behold, someone wanted two of my books. I plan to ship them out tomorrow.

So then my roommate mentioned putting some of her DVDs up on a swapping site. Naturally, I went looking. I’m now a member of Swap Tree and Book Mooch. Before you know it, I’ll be rid of all the books I don’t care about and have a brand new shiny collection.

If all goes well, I should be seeing the following soon:
Hero With a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell
Interred With Their Bones by Jennifer Lee Carrell
What I Did For Love by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Disappearing Nightly by Laura Resnick
Disney After Dark by Ridley Pearson

I suppose I could start participating in “In My Mailbox” with that kind of list, aha!

Also, my ARC of God of the Hive arrived today. Very excited to get going on it! Really feel like The Language of Bees needs to come first, though. Anyway, more to come soon, I’m sure.
